The King of the Fair - an Irish D&D Adventure
The village of Ballydorey bustles with excitement as the annual Puck Fair gets underway. Laughter and music fill the air as townsfolk celebrate their beloved tradition, culminating in the crowning of the King – a majestic goat named Billy. But this year's festivities take a dark turn when, just as the crown is placed upon Billy's head, a blinding flash of light engulfs him, and the King vanishes without a trace.
Panic erupts as whispers of an ancient curse spread through the crowd. Legend tells of a pact made generations ago, binding the townspeople to sacrifice a King each year during Puck Fair to appease a slumbering evil beneath the town. With the sun sinking lower and the townsfolk gripped by fear, the heroes arrive, thrust into the heart of this chilling mystery.
The King of the Fair is a one-shot adventure for 3-4 level 3 characters filled with mystery, magic, and a touch of Irish folklore! It takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
The adventure is suitable for most age groups but it does contain mentions of violent deaths that some players may not be comfortable with.
